Question EBay CAI?

Hey, I was wondering what you guys think of this CAI? It's a no name brand, but one of my buddies was telling me if I get a K&N filter, it'll be just as good. Any thoughts?

dont get it.....theres no place in the middle of the pipe to put the mass air flow sensor. youll just have to pay someone (if they can even do it) to flange it up correctly. not worth it. get an aem or injen and everything just bolts on nicely. take a look at the injen or aem set-up and you see the difference between the one your looking at and the "name brand" ones.

Looks to me like it will fit. I copied their pic and numbered the parts in the order I think they should go, from intake manifold to end of CAI.

note that #2 has the MAS adapter plate on it.

i've got a friend who has one of these and it fit fine in his 2002 lancer.

edit: my numbering could be off

I forgot where the maf on the stock unit was but I dont think it was that high on the unit. I think this might have an affect on something but that was a good point out on the maf flange. looked right past it. should work then.

Can't guarantee it will work, but looks similar to the one I got from Trivision Auto off Ebay. The pipe to filter does look longer. If you have doubts check out the one I bought. With shipping it came out to bout $90. I installed and know it fits.

It will probably fit and will probably work, but if it doesn't have a place for the MAS (as posted by Josh) or the valve cover return line, it won't pass smog in any state that does smog testing. Something to think about.

hey I got the same exact one and yeah it works perfect. everything fits tight but since there are no directions you just have to put it on like a puzzle. it will take about 2 to 3 hours to put on.
