Sounds like a great plan to me, Mike. Lemme know how that thing works. I may be interested in getting one down the road, but I don't know if they work with the EMS which isn't OBDII compliant.

anybody know if the greddy emanage is OBDII compliant? i may be moving to that eventually bc the rrm piggyback cannot retard timing.

i will keep everybpdy updated on how that goes.

hmmm that sounds like a good idea. try to get the stock rims back on there and see what happeneds. either way i'm sure your time will keep improving. keep us updated.

well the track closes at the end of november and i doubt i will get anything new put on by that time. it wont be till march probably when the track opens bcak up. by then i will have everything in, and maybe even forged pistons and running 11-12psi.

yeah i'm kinda retarded. going off a nonIC dyno sheet (NTRAN999 auto @ 5psi, couldn't find a manual nonIC dyno) peak hp is at 4930rpm(?) and peak torque at 4461rpm.

boe's 9 psi run had peak somewhere around 5200 or so. a car on 7psi of boost should be somewhere in the middle, i guess. hehe. so i guess it's safe to say you can shift around there or a little later. how much boost are you running? i just went on to say where 6000 really is on our tach since the peak hp on my own car is actually at or above 6k. just sorta said it without thinking.

25psi tire pressure did me good when i went to the track, but another factor was that when i actually did go down to 25psi it was already night time. stupid me forgot to lower them earlier during the day. tire slippage was much shorter and i could drop the clutch higher. so yeah, i can say it helped, but so did the cool night weather. but keep your rear tires pumped up near max. it'll keep rolling resistance down and you don't need them for traction anyways.

emanage is obdII compatible since you still retain the stock ecu. the thing tho is that you should rather be datalogging from the emanage than the obdII since it will log at a live, faster refresh rate(more data per second). obdII is limited to maybe 16 samples per second total from whatever you're logging. for instance, if you're logging 4 sensors with an obdII logger, you will get 4 samples per sensor per second. emanage datalogs in real time since it's physically connected to each sensor. so more or less, the auterra unit will only be useful for it's dyno function and code reading once you get the emanage.

once you get a wideband o2, you can plug it's analog wideband output (from the o2 controller box) to the pressure sensor of the emanage(if you're not using it) so you'll be able to datalog your wideband run as well. it will be in voltage instead, but printing out a conversion graph for reference should make it less of a concern. emanage + all harnesses + wideband o2 = the best piggyback/datalogger.

I can't see why e-manage wouldn't be OBDII compliant. It is used on modern cars, all of which have OBDII systems.
