You guys are over analyzing stuff. Pistons are pistons. Rings wear over time and so it would be good to change given the opportunity. These pistons are stronger and higher compression but they are still designed to run on pump gas. They come with new rings, wrist pins, etc.. That means you do not have to put head studs or anything else needs to be beefed up to use them. But to install them requires gaskets etc... That is understood. No one is being misleading. If you do not understand engine stuff just ask. Don't fill in the blanks yourself. If you getting them (pistons) make sure they are installed by a professional or you better be more than a backyard mechanic.

You need no bearings....., no head, no studs. You need gasket kit for removal of head. Replace gaskets as needed.

I have slapped new pistons in my motor 4 times... the bearing were always in great shape so i reused them with some light cleaning. Never had any issues at all. I'll vouch for the durability of the rod bolts/bearings/and head studs. For NA applications you should have no issues or need anything extra. Just lightly hone the cylinders(basic cross hatch pattern) and slap in the new pistons. With new headgasket your good to go. I always reused my exhaust and intake gaskets... never any issues but they are 10 bucks each new... and the headgasket is about 50-60 bucks new. This is a super simple task for a mechanic and i've done the entire swap in about 6 hours.

Any news? Has the company given you any idea when they will arrive at RRM?
