have any of u guys had your car mistaken for an evo? i have an 04 OZ and i know some people, mostly people who know nothing about cars, have thought that my car was an evo. i also have eyelids on my car to so that is kinda understandable. but it's just funny. i went to the car wash today and i guess they think my car is an evo cause of my exhaust and eyelids, so they cleaned it really good, and they stare at it. lol makes for a good car wash.

 

ive had it happen . . i just nod and go on about my day. I have a es that looks like a ralliart that gets mistaken for a evo . . haha im a confusing little boy. Im getting the evo wing for christmas so ahould make for some interesting times.

 

yeah the evo wing would really fool people. it looks good but i don't want that much attention.

yea actually i have an 03 es with rmr type 2 lip and one of my homies were like... i thought it was an evo at first... its good stuff i guess

 

people have thought my 02 es was an evo. ive even had people catch up to me to see if it was really an evo and they took one look at the front end and was completely disapointed. i laughed.

anyways. yeah all the time. especially when you have a bodykit. although i quickly correct them. they always give props though.

 

i still get it, i'll be sitting in a parking lot and people will drive up and all 4 of them staring out one side of the car as it creeps by at .2 mph...

 

my old es looked like an evoVII, it had the evoVII spoiler, evo8 clear tails, but I had konig rims that looked very similar to the enkei rims (not purposely) and I had an evoVII grill with axel back exhaust, people would stare at my car and give me thumbs up, it was a pretty good "wow" factor.

Also every morning I would pass by these lil kids waiting for the bus and they would just point and stare and smile, made me feel good inside.

Now I have my stock RA, they dont point or stare... ... time for some go/show mods, hehe.

rigo aka lookslikeanevo, by far has the best looking lancer (you have to see it in person)... it really does "LOOK LIKE AN EVO".

 

Yeah, people always assume that my car came with a turbo from the factory when I talk about the turbo I have in it now....gets kinda frustrating when I have to repleatedly tell people the same thing over and over...

 

yo seriously ever since i put the evo vii kit on my 02 es everyone asks me that, even at car shows. Damn people don't you know anything bout cars, there killin me with the evo ?

hmmm ive been asked if my OZ is an Evo before ... I do the same thing everytime, Look at my car .. look at the person ... snicker and say , you see an innercooler ? na me either , guess its not an Evo :P

 

Yeah, i get it pretty often too. even without rims?! How much do these people know about cars. good lord.

u get mistaken due to the fact that u make ur cars try to look like ours, lol i cant say i have ever been mistaken for a oz or a ralliart, get a life and stop caring weather people mistake ur car for an evo or not
