yea just last nite this subaru wrx and acura thought i was either an evo or a turbo'd lancer... both kept tryin'a race me ..... and my crappy ES is pretty much stock so they both SMOKED me...stoppin so i can catch up .. then smokin me again... quite embarrassing.

 

i have never tried 2 make my car look anything like an evo i just see tha parts that r avaliable 4 my car 2 make it tha way i want it 2b! dont b jealous that lancers have more exterior options for our cars than your evo does! ive even had some evo owners in my area tell me my car looks better than an evo! im not saying it is or isent! all im saying is i think i have a nice car!

 

i was at taco bell one day with another member from this site that actually has an evo. These two cracked out girls that couldnt have been more than 15 come over and are looking at my car. One of the girls said "hey is this an evo?" (pointing at my car).

I just started laughing and was like no, but that is, pointing at the other car. Immediately they flock around it and ask if they can drive it. Chinto just laughed and was like yeah, when you get $30,000.

Seriously, most people know knothing, the evo was looking them in the face and they still went to the wrong car.

I used to get it, but don't have the lancer anymore, so haven't gotten it with the Z yet

 

I was moving into my new house yesterday, and one of the moving guys thought I had an evo. Funny thing was, he has a Busaru. So you would think he at least new something about cars. Plus, i don't have my body kit on right now either, cause of winter coming. Too many high snow drifts and pot holes and dirt roads in rural western pa.

 

I agree that some ppl on here are trying thier best to make thier lancers look like evos, but not every1 does. I know I aint tryin'a make my lancer look like an evo.. i'm just makin my lancer look as best as it can. If I wanted an evo, I'd spend 30K and get one. And this thread is not called, how many of us want our cars to look like evos - its other ppl mistaking us as evos. So point being - calm down and don't blow your head up too big.

 

yeah well i have a white evo rs, damn people are always ****in mistaking me for some ****ty lancer, because of the fact that even riced up cars try to race me, dude if you guys dont have an evo and put the evo wing on, good ****in luck going through your day without your *** raped by some kind of fast car. damn its a good thing that i have a sleeper car, if you want to consider the evo rs a sleeper, but the amount of horsepower under the hood, really pisses people off. hahahahha **** everybody who tries to race me on the street specially vettes, cobras, and other punk*****es

 

Happens to me from time to time, which is weird because I don't have any show mods that might lead to that mistake (no big wing, no large rims, etc.)

i agree, and i've noticed that most of the guys that own evo's are ****ty. i've only talked to a few guys that have evo's that are actually cool and don't look down on me cuz i only have a 'regular' lancer. i just think it sucks...

 

i was quoting some one, but you gotta understand where thier comming from, they bought a 30K car and we bought a 15 - 20K and yet were getting confused for them! but becareful not to standardize all evo ownsers as ****ty, all the evo owners i know are cool!

 

haha a few weeks ago i was with a friend at walmart, someone he knows was talking about cars and mentioned that he wanted to sell his rx7 and buy an evo. when he saw my car in the parking lot he started asking me where i got my evo from. funny stuff for sure.

 

some evo owners need to learn to SHUT THE **** UP...seriously i dont, most of us dont give a **** what u say... go waste ur pointless day somewhere else... It is a LANCER evolution... u idiots... no...wait im wrong there is no lancer its just EVO ... your right... ...... ......

 

MAN, thought we were a general Lancer club. Who ever thought we would get bashed by our own. Thats ****ty, screw that, all we ever do is compliment Evo's and here we have a "few" peeps that call some of us less fortunate people ****ty for having ****ty lancers.
