kinda OT^ if u put that on your 04 u will really get "is that an evo?" lol. i have the same color with eyelids and thats all i ever get. kinda funny though to see how retarded people can be when it comes to knowing about cars. maybe one day i will say yes it is an evo. lol

 

no, when you finally get an evo, people will come up say, 'nice lancer' then laugh and walk off, or 'hey, nice honda'

 

I've never had anyone come up to me and mistake my Lancer for an Evo. I guess that's because I don't have anything done to my car really. One guy did come up to me and ask what color it was... people like the Thunder Grey...

I have been asked a few times if it was an Evo... But I also have the Recaro seats and the Evo VIII Steering wheel in my car. I will most likely get it even more so when I install an Evo VIII wing in the near future... Maybe after I get a turbo kit, I will start letting them believe it is one. But for now I say it is the Evo's kid brother. One person even asked if I had it Imported all the way from "China." Ok, this person either was stupid, or was trying to make me mad. I just said, "Nope, Bought it right here in Indiana. Where did you get your Ford Truck, Mexico?" He called me a "rice burner" and drove off. Ok, Right now, my car is 98% stock, how am I a Ricer?

i dont put down lancers for just any reason but ill put down anyone who is a wanna-be.... using an evo steering wheel and seats i dont consider it such since they are good functional pieces that go on the non-evo's with zero problems.... but its so gay when the lancers get the "evo body kit" and get it painted etc etc... then one day wake up and say, hey i coulda bought an evo for that money

same laughable things people do, for example putting badges of a better model on your "base" model...

i basically see the rest of the lancers as a different car then the evo.... 80% of the parts arent even interchangable.... so if i dont laugh at an integra, sentras etc etc why would i laugh at lancers..... long as lancers mod for speed, handling or good looks without going to the ricy side.... i give them a

 

people say my car is a lancer. then they get in it and see that it is truely a phantom.

 

This one is really bad, the dealership out here where I live almost gave me an EVO oil change. They got confused becuase I have the EVO VII letters on the back, but I thought everyone knew that if all 4 fenders aren't flared that it isn't an EVO. They are really gonna be confused when I get my EVO VII kit on man! LOL!!!! I do wish I had some AWD though and someday I will have some Nice Sparco seats. Recaro is nice, but I love me some Sparco!

yeah putting evo badging on is like put a type R sticker on a honda. i just debadge my trunk altogether

 

haha i get it all the time, mostly from people in hondas. go figure. but i think it's cuz i do have the evo 8 spoiler, and tail lights, even though their custom tinted. but i've seen people in a car and they will say something, and i can read 'evo' off their lips, the rest i dont care about, but i just laugh..

 

i don't get the evo treatment, but here is a little tid bit. some guy and his girl driving a beat down SHOEburu pulled up next to me in their can and the guy yells out wasup Phantom! i thought it was cute. so i made a right turn instead of making him feel bad for being in a subaru.
