Witnessed the difference?

Today while I was at MOD 05 I had a chance to witness something great. What was it? It was an RRM turbo powered lancer handing a "custom turboed" lancer it's *** on a gold platter.

Let me tell you this... if you are thinking about going down the "custom turbo" route in order to save money, think again. Granted it was a stage 2 rrm turbo vs a custom intercooled setup, the RRM powered vehicle was FAR more superior in performance. I have said it and i'll say it again, RRM put a TON of R&D into their kits to make sure you are satisfied with the results.

The RRM turbo powered lancer was SCLC's own Mark (Imapunkclaimer) and the custom turbo guy should remain nameless for the sake of not embarrassing him. The custom turbo kid was mouthing off how great he is since he designed his own custom turbo setup (which was actually installed by a shop, not by himself) when he said he'll beat any other turbocharged lancer. Luckily enough we had just the challenge for him, Mark with his RRM stage 2 lancer. The race went off and the results? Mark had pulled approximately 4 car lengths on the custom turbo kid before they both let off. Back at MOD 05 the 2 warriors return, one with a silly grin on his face (guess who...) and the other with excuses flying out his big mouth. Among a few excuses were "No fair, he wasnt at a dead stop when we took off", "he has a manual and he can get into spool while my automatic has to rev up to get into boost", "I have all this audio equipment" (yeah right... just 2 wimpy *** subs and 1 amp, big deal).

Moral of the story? Want boost... do it the right way, The RRM way

Hmm I see you are using a log manifold instead of a tubular one.

it wasn't impressive... no R&D, there wasn't enough room for the filter, and lets leave it at that. I"ll order an extra engine just in case (its only a matter of time) that guy calls us

Haha, i witness the whole thing. I was in the AT turbo lancer, and we HAVE IT ON VID! Mark pulled hard on the guy, 3-4cars... after mark took me for a ride and it was really like "night and day", total difference...

Very nice car mark... such a sleeper!!! When he shifts... that pull is AMAZING!
