Well, im just new here in the mainland.. and as everyone knows, when you get a car registered, it needs to get smog tested first. Well, today, I was in Oakland to get my car tested.. And well, when the guy looked at my engine, he said that he cant test my car because it had a cold air intake and that it will fail no matter what.. And this is what i wanna know, is it true that it will fail?.. What do people in NorCal usually do who have intakes when they get tested?.. Put back the stock air box?.. And plus my intake should be legal because its AEM.. I remember seein an add about AEM being legal in California... Please help me out because I need to get my car registered soon.. Thank you..

 

This guy is jerking you around. AEM is CARB legal. Take it somewhere else to get tested.
