reflash old software = high hopes of problems never failed

went back to the dealer today. service manager basicly said that the car was to "heavily modifed" for the new flash to recognize. the car is running an OEM map basicly, not comprehending any of the work i did to the car. since the reflash i have been pulling codes for the O2 heater sensor circuit malfunction, MAF sensor, and intake temp to high...bullsh**....they refuse to fix anything that has occured since the reflash because i am #1 not under warranty #2 a modified vehicle...calling HQ later in effort to get something out of them.

they refuse to fix it AND to diagnose it...they gave me a summary of the codes they 'pulled'...went to my local guy and found out they are trying to screw me cause i am only pulling on code (PO141) -->o2 heater sensor circuit malfunction bank 1 sensor 2 (the circuit for the o2 sensor in the cat) which have had for a long time. when i had my exhaut made we eliminated the 2nd o2 sensor to avoid a CEL and i threw it with the RRM header again...basicly, lowered my idle from 1100 to 900 manually, im cleaning the throttle body tonight, and a new PCV valve helped lower it around 100-200ish so im almost back to where i was...a few things to try before paying for a diagnosis....or if you have the option, return your performance mods to stock so the PCM Reflash recognizes a normal map first (as opposed to a 'distorted' map due to non-oem mods).

are there any problems with the car after the CEL came on? Take it to autozone or something to run it and see the cause. That way you can tell the dealer what it is if they don't tell you.

where in NJ are you? and what dealer did you take it too? call mitsu asap and tell them whats going on. if you wait to long they will say its not related to the recall since its been too long after the reflash. if you went to Freehold Mitsu, PM me and ill tell you who to talk too so you don't get jerked around....also, go to autozone and have them pull the codes for you if you don't know anybody with a code reader. do not let mitsu screw you like they tryied to do to me the past week. (tried telling me i need a new MAF sensor, i was pulling codes for MAF sensor, intake temp to high, and o2 sensor malfunstion....went home pulled codes myself and it was only the o2 circuit since i removed my 2nd o2 sensor)

well...i just talked to him...and he said "the CEL has nothing to do with the PCM reflash since that has to do with the emissions and catalytic converter, but that check engine light could be a multitude of stuff"
