omg figure what out, just take it to the dealership, let them reflash the pcm in 30 minutes and your done. it fixes the problem (whether you notice it or not). unplugging the negative won't do a thing. thats why they don't do that at the dealership. they actually have to plug up. what is there to think about?

have you even been reading the thread, or do you just post... the reflash is causing the problem

how is the reflash causing the problem if it does it before you get it reflashed. I had mine done 2 days ago and it hasnt done it. i know yours went, i guess it was 3 days? but I'll see if mine does it eventually. but i doubt mitsu would do this recall if it caused the problem or made it worse.

well you are the only one that ive seen that they had a rpm hang before the reflash. The reflash is not to fix an rpm hang anyways... its to lean out the fuel curve a lil bit under certain conditions as to not cook the first cat

Just some examples for ya. Not trying to argue. I just keep reading how people are like "i'm still debating, dont know if i should get it done or not..." etc.

just got the reflash done ... feels no different really ... but tell me why if im around 2,000 rpms and i hit the clutch down to shift the rpm gauge jumps up to like 2300 and then goes back down ... cant feel it rev but i can see the gauge jump but anything higher than 3000 its fine

o man while waiting for them to finish the flash i rode in a ralliart ... DAMMIT why didnt i know about that car before !!!! its sooo much better that i wanted to trade it in that second ... but i will wait ... ok im done

^exactly, TeamAccolade has a thread in the us lancer engine tech stating the issue of rpm hang, and I believe he was also the one who started mentioning the issue.

haha, I know what you mean, I wish I bought a RA in the first place, but I couldn't afford it at the time, but I took it for a test drive about a month ago, the difference is like night and day between the ES and the RA. Oh well, maybe in a few years ill trade my ES, dunno for what though.

If i read in the right order, teamaccolade posted that he had the hang before he posted saying that he took his car in. and i didnt see where any of the others i quoted said that they had the reflash done. but who knows maybe i'm wrong. i really didnt want to make this into a debate. I was just wondering why people kept "waiting on getting this done"
