street tales area?

hi I was just wondering if this forum has a street
tales area or street races area. I really like the looks
of the OZ edition lancers and wanted to see what
kind of cars they could beat. Or just read some of the
stories about Lancer races.

Thanks

We used to have one. It's long since been deleted for 2 main reasons.

1. The site does not promote or condone street racing. Generally subjects regarding illegal street races will either be moved to off topic or deleted (at the moderator or admin's discretion).

2. It led to a lot of flaming. Nobody wanted to hear that someone beat ANYTHING in a ES/LS/OZ. So whenever someone said they beat something there was an inevitable backlash of people calling "bull****" and whatnot. I can't remember more than a handful that ended up without resorting to name calling.

On a related note, we have a Motorsports forum for all organized (track, SCCA etc.) racing.

ryancb: I tried but I didn't see anything.
Anyway thanks for the info HobieKopek
I appreciate it. I checked out the drag
racing section but I didn't really see much in
there about the OZ edition Lancer's times.
the Lancer seems kinda slow though
I'll look around somemore
thanks

Someone in the RSX forum just died of a massive head injury while street "racing". Their moderators were still debating if "street racing was worth it"!!

Thankfully this forum's moderators have a little more foresight. Keep your "racing" and crappy *** driving off our public streets and on the tracks where it belongs.

FYI I'm not an idiot when I "race". If I happen to be the first at a light, and its way clear in front of me, then I'll go for it. I won't do more than 70 on Alafaya, and don't weave in and out of traffic like a moron.

I hear that. not every street racer or occasional person
that likes to run em at a street light drives 120 on a crowded
street. I race at the track alot but every once in awhile it's
fun if you are next to someone at a light and it's clear
