Heater controls

I have had an ongoing heater control Knob issue. It had been to the dealer I bought it from several times for many reasons. The dealership here went out of buissiness(Forced out) and now Mitsu says they have no records of anything.

Anyway, They are refusing to fix the issue many of us have had with not being able to properly turn the heater knob. Mine broke off the other day. I live in Las Vegas where I turn the knob maybe 2 times a year. I think this is ridiculous and was yelled at and hung up on several times by the always loving Mitsu staff at the 800 number. I would like if the mods are willing for me to find out how many people have suffered this problem, how many were fixed, and not fixed. I have spoken to a lawyer who is possibly willing to class action them if enough problems exist to show it is NOT a rare item. They did NOT refuse dut to mods, just that it is not a warrany issue that the heater box that they have a service bulletin out for even is a problem to begin with. This goes for any lancer or evo also.....
thanks

if your talking about the temperature control nob..... mine works very hard when turning. when the nob is almost verticle it becomes pretty tough to turn. mine has not broken though. I know others have this same problem.

I'll leave this up for a few days. Then it'll go into Troubleshooting (assuming it's still active by then).

There are several threads made about this exact topic. One I believe is listed under the Recall Code. Anyhow, it is a very common problem. Even I have this problem, but never sought repair for it. But maybe it should be tended to before the knob breaks on mine...

I also experience this problem - but like most of the above, I never bothered to take it in. It wasn't bad enough for me I guess.

Mine does the same thing, I only find its a pain when its cold as hell out and you actually have to struggle to get some heat going.
