Works good. Don't need it with test pipe but headers will make CEL go on.

It uses a resistor or resistors to return a different voltage signal from the O2 sensor. The varied voltage tricks the ECU into thinking the cat's in place.

do you put it on the second cat?
I'm about to install my test pipe myself and plan on headers in the near future.

No need to. With the first cat in place in the header there's a sufficinet difference in exhaust fumes that the CEL doesn't trip. However, if you have no cats, the O2sensors will register the same reading, the computer freaks and CEL comes on. MIL/CEL eliminator tricks the computer

no no no....you can ONLY put the MIL on the second cat, no matter what cat you change out, you put the MIL on the 2nd sensor. jeff@ILP would know for sure, give him a call when you order it.

It wires into the 2nd o2 sensor. You won't have any cats if you've got a header and test pipe.
