According to RR the stock hood wieghs 30-34lbs depending on the year, CF wieghs 14-15lbs. Plus with the CF hood you get ventilation and air intake for short ram. But like you said I would rather spend the money on a perf. mod, but if I could afford it, I sure like the look of the evo style CF hood on a white 03 OZ like mine.

i bought my oem style carbon fiber hood for $200 from a local shop that had extras left and just happened to be selling them when i had my last small accident (bumped into the back of a truck. his truck had no scratch what so ever, my hood was bent back....) when you compare the weight of the two hoods, oem vs carbon fiber, the different is significant.

how much does the crash bar weigh behind the front Bumper. Also can you still have the Front Bumper bolted on without that crash bar.

This seems to be the best Mini Battery and it only weighs 11.5lb. Stock Battery is 37lb thats 25.5lb difference. It cost allot more than a regular Battery but i think it's worth it. I will purchase mine next week.

Yes, they're bolted down.

Please don't remove them. You could destroy the front of your with a simple 5 mph collision...
