It's a classic farce!

yes you can remove them. i have removed both of mine, but only because the bumper covers i have on my car wont fit with with them still on. i know when i replaced my front bumper, i removed about 50-60lbs. with the crash bar, the styrofoam, hardware, and the fact that the bumper cover is fiberglass. true the car is very fragile now, but i rarely ever drive it on public roads.

That would be crazy weight off the car. That would be almost 60 to 70 pounds off the front end.

yeah, pretty much. like i said before, my car weighs around 2180lbs.........just think of what that would be like, lol. another option you have would be seats. although expensive, you could save another 40 lbs. with both.

not hard at all. just gotta get the bumper cover off, then a few bolts. but i really doubt you could keep it off if you had the stock bumper cover.

well, thats basically what i said in a previous post. even though i had it off my car with a fiberglass bumper for two years and had no problems, i still dont really reccomend it.

I am glad you found this. Selling my speakers for $200 to a buddy of mine. I think its an upgrade.

I might get this with the left over cash for when my right foot gets a little frisky around the corners.http://www.sojdm.com/productcart/pc/...8&idproduct=15

I am going to ask the local mitsu guy what those front roller things are for.... for some reason I think they have something to do with the airbag system

I think it was mentioned on this thread or somewhere else... They're there to keep any type of debris from going up and hitting the radiator. And large object could just hop in there and make a substancial hole in the radiator. If the object is big enough, it could cause damage. That's probably why those roll-bars are so "heavy duty".

I could be wrong...

seems like a stupid way to guard a radiator? why not just put up a mesh screen or something? I am going to ask what those are because if they are just to add wieght to the front of the car Im going to take them off and BLOW THEM UP!
