It just amazes me how much I've learned in a few years (3, looking at my join date). I don't really feel like a know-it-all normally, but there are so many commonly-accepted truths that people just ignore for one reason or another. I just want to individually tutor each person.

I guess there's a thin line between "difference of taste" and "freaking idiot"...

Simple answer - you don't have a Honda or Subaru. 's don't swap motors.

You can do it, but it'll be very hard and cost a ton of money. There really aren't any Lancers with swapped motors to base your quest off of because a few people have gone "I'm gonna do it" and then never come back.

If you want a better motor, get a better car.

i was curious.. you mentioned springs and coil-overs.. did you mean the expensive coil-over kits or will this do??.. thanks again..

hahaha i havent been on this forum for too long but i just read this.. and thanks it does help, i was going to buy all these pos mods that probably wont do crap for me, including some springs, but decided to go with the coilovers. just wondering if these Ksport ones are any good compared to teins .. or even if NEX are OK..

and i thought this was funny

do NOT get this. . it is not the answer. these are just sleeves and springs. yes they allow a drop, but they will bust your struts just like lowering springs would.. sorry. you are gonna have to go with full coilovers or blown struts. . .

i cant make that decision for you.. i havent compared the two myself so anything i told you would be strictly opinion. .. so if you WANT my opinion, i would go with Tein. . .thats simply because thats what im going to get. . .they seem to be the big bad brand name and im a brand ***** so . .. .tada, ill be having tein coilovers. . i would suggest hunting down someone who has some k-sports and asking them, and if you can find someone who has dealt with all of the types. . . sorry i couldnt be MORE helpful than that
