Widebands, or and O2 sensors for that matter, don't really have software. They just have voltage outputs. 0-1v is the realm of narrowband signals, widebands are 0-5v. I don't know if Zeitronix have just a 5v or a 1v and a 5v. Either way, they don't require software installs because the ECU won't understand the 5v signal. The 1v output on narrowbands is basically there to simulate the actual 5v redout into a voltage range that the ECU can understand. If you were to tap the 5v to the ECU it would constantly run pig rich.
Wouldn't be nice if someone made a wideband controller, which instead of only reading AFR and having 1V or 5V output actually reads important engine parameters such as AFR, RPM, TPS, Boost, Vacuum, EGT and 0-5V sensors? Wouldn't be just wonderful if such a device come with logging software for your PC laptop or a Palm Pilot, matching accurate plug in sensors, a warning box which sounds an alarm before you are going to blow up your engine. Wouldn't that be nice.....
