New Products for the Lancer!!!
In all honesty, I think stiff motor mounts work much better than an engine damper. Think about it... motor mounts are spot center with the engine and stop movement in almost all directions. A dampener grabs the engine by it's outer extremety and allows the other side to just hang loose. Does that make sense?
EDIT: I actually looked into it and found that the Evo's high quality (Ingalls brand) engine torque damper is $165 whereas RRM's urethane filled motor mounts are $150.

Thanks for the info, but we're not debating here whether or not we should use/have an engine damper. We already want one - we just want to know the status of the part.
However, if you'd like, you can always start a thread on the pros/cons of stiffer engine mounts vs. an engine damper. That could make for an interesting debate.

We don't need rear brakes. They don't work right when used on a car designed for rear drums. They would lock up if you jammed on the brakes. engine damper is a good start.
Ok, I just got done reading ALL 15 PAGES of this thing and I'm suprised noone has mentioned it- how about a steering wheel hub that is actually made for the Lancer? I want a nice steering wheel, but have no way of mounting it!!
So far, only this "Splash" hub from more-japan.com seems to fit, according to the threads I've read. But it is for an Evo and all threads on this forum say ours is a little different from the Evo. So I'm guessing it probably won't work...
So how 'bout it? a metal bracket for the steering wheel shouldn't be too hard, I hope

If I'm wrong on this, please enlighten me, someone. I have a MOMO steering wheel ready to go, but waiting on a hub adaptor.
If it in fact does NOT fit, then maybe this guy can do it for us.
