Rock, I didn't mean during the porting process. I meant is there any chance of it failing while under operation?

i have raced *track* a car with a PORTED 4g94 mani (my oid one) and i beat him,

same intake (rmr)
i have no exhaust
he has rrm header i have rpw header.

when we ported them out they seemed abut the same in port size i think was iike a millimeter bigger? forgot which was bigger.

4G93 sounds like a beast, 4G94 has better low end power. 4G93 does pretty well in upper RPM and gives a decent boost in power but has a very distinct and unique powerband... Doesn't seem quite as good as the 94's. I say ABOUT even. If both are ported well enough then there shouldn't be a huge difference. Only bad part about the 4G93 is it does bolt up to the 4G94 TB perfectly which CAN cause vacuum leaks like I had.

Cool. Keep the info coming. How much does the 94 lose to the 93 in the upper end?

The longer runners of the 4G94 result in better low end torque, it's what it was designed for. But because of that, even when ported the extra length from the plenum chamber, down the runner and to the cylinder becomes a longer bottleneck making it not as efficient at high rpms.

Nice sig line N1te. Looks like I'm gonna go with the 4G93.

Next things I've gotta decide on are:

Whether or not to P&P my head
Which FPR to go with (prolly the RPW unit)
Which injectors to go with (looking at RC Engineering or stock WRX)

As always, comments and suggestions are welcome!

Hey Nem I drove by your car today and your car cover is starting to come off the back a little. Want me to put it back to normal?
