You guys didn't read my post clearly, I posted RRM not RMR, I'm running the RRM SRI, it's better because it has a funnelled MAS adapter plate that helps ram the air into the MAS.

The RMR is good too...the stock air damn helps get cold air into the engine. As for the difference with an AEM cold air intake, the difference isnt that big. Probably wouldnt be noticable. As for the price difference, it is a WAY better deal to go with short ram. I'd go with RMR, but I guess RRM is good too.

By the way we have a group buy in the making for RMR intakes. Follow the link...

i got a EBAY short ram..... works just as good . If there is a difference I can't really tell. Might as well spend 50 for the intake and than buy a vented hood and than you will have a RAM AIR .

or you could just buy a mas adaptor plate for a 95-99 eclipse and get a good filter and only spend like 30 bucks like i did

kn part number 57-5504-1. it's a good start. this is the K&N FIPK for 2G eclipse GSX. it's about $100+.

or you can get the 3000GT FIPK for about $180 (57-1500-1). there's no difference really. take a look at them both and if you see any REAL difference, go ahead and post. for sure the 3000GT FIPK fit. I had one. i'd rather go with the eclipse one since it's cheaper. there's this bolt on it that you can dremel off. no real biggy.

and then of course you can go cheap and get a generic filter. K&N is just a piece of mind.

i'm running on the ebay short ram too, its actually not a generic, its made by a company called BomZ, they're pretty good, they make t-wing type spoilers, universal exhausts and intakes. they're pretty good, i wouldn't say they're cheap or anything, but the price ur getting the SRI for is great man, u can find one forl ike 30 bucks, it works just as well as the other SRI, just that there is no heat shield, which u can make urself, with parts from the hardware store, or sheetmetal....

I put my AEM CAI Kit on last saturday and the sound is superb, deep and throaty in the low rpms and a very tuned powerful sound in the high rpms. I'm not sure about my fellow Lancer Enthusiats but I removed the black mesh that kept air from going into the engine bay on the left front side so that the filter was right where the air was coming through....if you rev really hard or just listen carefully you can hear the sucking sound better than any other CAI I've owned on my Z24 or Eclipse.

My votes for the AEM CAI, pure quality and I have yet to read a complaint about it, other than it doesn't come in Pink. (Left by a Lancer owner who upon seeing 2F2F suddenly decided his car should have a Thunder Grey Exterior and Pink Engine Bay)
