If you were working on the seat and had turned the ignition to the 'ON' position while a sensor or any part of the warning lamp circuit was unplugged, it's possible that is the cause of the SRS light. The SRS-ECU will detect an open circuit and set a DTC. If that's the case, you will need to go into the SRS-ECU diagnostics to retrieve and clear the code. I'm not sure if there is any way to access these codes with a generic non-Mitsubishi scan tool, but you can try. Clearing the code will fix it if the code was for an open circuit and if all the connectors are now secured...... If that's not the problem, then you may have a problem with the seat sensor. There is a calibration procedure that may need to be performed for the passenger seat sensor, assuming that the sensor is installed in a manner that will allow it to function correctly. This procedure will require a factory scan tool to perform. PM me if you need any more info.

Yeah I'd have to say it's in the system from unplugging it and disconnecting the battery will probably reset it.

take it to your dealer, they can reset your srs lamp
