you could stand a chance against the accord, depends on what everyone has said, a friend of mine has a 95 i think with sports exhaust, pretty damn quick

auto lancers have that too

 

i wanna get a civic hatch but my dad insisted on getting a new car so i ended up wit a gti instead but its still a hatch

in more words, i had a 96 v6, and that thing HAULED. i still miss it.

As TURBOit has said, the auto Lancers have that also. I have an auto and I don't shift if all the time only when I think I'll need it in a race(bad for transmission). But it does seem quicker when shifting it at redline to 2nd and it goes straight into second withought slowing down to hit a clutch. I think its pretty cool, but it's still not better than a manual, because you are shifting through 4 gears in an auto compared to 5 in manual with better gear rations and making it quicker.

But how much power loss is an auto suppose to have compared to a manual lance?

 

Oh ya also, I raced an older accord and it stomped me. Not modded or anything. Coulda been a v6 if they had v6 accords then.. maybe vtech(but vtech isnt that much more). It was probably 95-96.

yes, they had v6 accords in 96, which i had. bone stock the thing hauled and i believe it had about 170hp.

 

you'd get pwned by an 03 accord coup...4 banger or otherwise, put a spud in his tailpipe, that shud slowhim down. MUAHAHAHA

the SOHC 2.2 V-tec accords are pretty fast imo accords are not in the same catagories....they are compitiable w/ our Galant!

 

Aight, here's sumthing funny. Muh friend who's a pretty damn good driver picked me up and we went cruisin in my stock *** lancer. (reminder, my license is suspended) any crap, he was drivin obviously and we came across a black lancer with intake, header and a buschur exhaust (so he claims) he wanted to race. So just to see what my loser *** lancer could do against an even more lame lancer I said yes. My friend launched my car really damn good, no tire spin (while the black one spun and squealed like crazy) and we had him til we hit 3rd, then we were goners. I'm sure it's cuz of the few measley mods he had, but we woulda had him if I had had the same things. MORAL of story, better driver always wins, it's not always the car!

 

It's very true about "the better driver". When I had my 2000 Civic DX Hatchback, at 108 horsepower, I've beaten a fair number of cars that exceeded mine in capability. That car's second gear got to 120 Km/h before hitting the rev limiter. My Lancer's second gear revs out at 90 - 100 Km/h. God I miss that car for some things And it was only a 1.6 litre! Oh well! I'm happy as a pig in **** with my Lancer *saves money for exhaust system overhaul, pistons and turbo kit* >
