Car won't start/Front ECU noise

Front ECU started making noise, now car won't start.....nothing. ECU will continually make noise without keys in ignition. Think if I replace Front ECU car will start? I've read the other threads about the Front ECU but no mention of the car not starting....

The electronic control unit is making noise? Sounds unlikely...

I know what sound he's talking about. Its a distinct clicking noise. It makes the same sound when you disconnect reconnect your battery or flash your ECU.

Battery? Because if there is minimal charge there wont be enough power to turn the car but that little ounce of juice will keep powering the ECU.

The clicking sound is probably relays. The "front ECU" controls most of the lighting, which means relays are needed.

OP: Has the car gotten wet recently?

I had this same issue. I took my cables off my battery the day before to clean off corrosion and when I put them back on my car ran fine for a day then did this. Ecu clicked when car was off and had zero power when trying to turn over. Problem ended up being that my negative battery cable wasn't all the way down on the battery and didn't get tightened all the way. Make sure to check battery connections! I was about to buy a new ecu! I'm sure your problem is already solved but when I did my research this topic didn't have the answer so I wanted to post it for anybody with the same problem.

ecu noise

Call me mad but I have an ecu that makes a singing noise, a constant sound like a soft beeeeeeeeeep. My car will not start. The starter engine turns, the red light on the dash blinks faster when I turn the key, even before starting. I smell gaz from the exhaust pipe. Time for a new ECU? Does that need tuning to the car by an expert? I heard this from someone and it seems to cost a LOT!
