So wait, you've dumped $2k into just go fast stuff and can't take more than a 1/2 second off the stock time?! What the hell did you buy?

And- How much did you spend on body kit and subs?

Thanks blacksheepdj, I'll try to get out to the tracks this summer. They closed the race track that was 1.5 miles from my house.. =( They are closing all the tracks everywhere because of population growth and people complaining of noise. It only promotes street racing every time a track closes. =/

First of all, i didn't buy any of that body kit or stereo crap. Adds weight

I bought headers, P & P intake and TB and a PB from RRM, and motor mounts.......

but here's the thing - my front tires are pretty much worn out so i am going to do some different stuff this weekend when i go.

And I probably won't make it to Infineon this summer, either. We'll see.

I was really looking forward to it, though.

Details....lots of details Also, did your cam gear from RPW come with timing marks or is there still nothing to go by.

The cam gear doesn't have timing marks.... which makes it a little hard to use if you're just going to adjust the gear itself. But I'm not going to use it anyway, so I kinda don't care Funny, timing is the issue right now. I think I set it a little too advanced, but I'm gonna check around. So far everything sounds alright, but it won't turn over and I'm getting a CEL for the cam position sensor. Gurus- be prepared for PMs

OH and has anyone else had trouble with their throttle position sensor when they install a bored TB?

I am Sofa King, We Todd Did!!!!

Ok, everybody- when you go to install your new cam, don't get all excited and FORGET TO INSTALL THE THING THAT LETS THE SENSOR KNOW WHAT ANGLE THE CAM IS AT!!!!!

So now I'm on schedule for tomorrow night just after work Fingers are crossed!

Everybody pray that it doesn't rain here in the great North Wet. If it's raining tomorrow they will not open the track I have a little timing work to do, but I'm pretty sure that getting below 16.000 isn't going to be that tough.

Now, we're not adding reaction time, are we? I've never drag raced before and I'm sure my RTs are gonna be high (otherwise I'll be tripping the reds). And my RT has no bearing on how fast the car makes it down the track.

Don't worry- if my times don't live up to my expectations, I have a full list of excuses ready to post up

EDIT: the throttle position sensor thing: turns out the eManage just ate some bad acid. I started a new map and it's fine now.
