Long quote and a smiley. Chock full of good info.

Seriously though, I still don't say yea or nay until I see it on the salesfloor.

How about the NY auto show. If memory serves that is where they said the car will debut.

Hell no! Honda and Toyota are the only 100% Japanese Auto manufacturers left, and most of their cars are built in the US, India, Indonesia and now, China.
Honda sold Isuzus Rodeos as Passports and had an Acura version of the Trooper some time back, the three letter name escapes me, but it was a totally forgettable vehicle anyway. Toyota sold/sells Cavaliers under their name in Japan (there is such a thing as TRD bodykits that can fit on US Cavaliers/Sunfires) and Geo (now just Chevy) Metros/Prizms Toyota Corrollas roll out of the NUMMI plant which is a GM/Toyota joint venture. So whats your point? Cars are a global industry. The majority of Mitsus cars may benefit from its Japanese, German, American and yes even Korean influence. But for now the EVO is still very and wholly Mitsubishi.

2004 lancer front end???

Well with EVO Maddness all over I thought of a good question. I know the EVO is built at a different factory but, will the front end,end up on the 2004 lancer ES-OZ? I don't know but if EVO sells like it is,will they make a change to the more open nostrol look? The lancer is about to take front stage over all othere cars out there. When last year the eclipse was the faster more pricey model and the 3000 GT saw it's fate(for now?).I can't believe that there won't be some change and to what?

it sucks that they're gone. the 3000 was a hell of a car. not sure bout the evo front end on the lancer. if the do that they'll need to change the rest of the body IMO. other wise i don't think the car will flow very nice.

Nope, 99. The Supra was discontinued in 98 maybe you got them confused.

The 04' Lancer is getting a facelift but I don't know yet what it will look like. That's been the plan since the car was introduced.

ok i just spent a good amount of time reading all 12 pages and im a bit jaded, so excuse me if this question is the dumbest question in the history of the world...

but when u say 2004 lancer, does that mean its coming out late this year?? meaning a redesigned '04 lancer can be out by late '03??? thanks.!!!
