sorry to bring back a dead thread .. but i have read many of these power steering fluid threads .. and i want a cut and dry answer. what have people used besides Diamond SPII that has worked? if worst comes to worst i will be just getting redline ... by the way, i am just refilling it cause its low, is it bad to mix?

edit: i found this site .. it saids that castrol ps will work for mits. brands ... any input?

if the tranny fluid is made for transmission than only use it for the transmission. i mean i wouldnt even use regular oil for my transmission. besides atf cost more than power steering flud anyway.

So . . . I went to the local autoparts store and picked up a bottle of

http://www.bardahl.com/mods/gallery/...&box=&shownew=

It's synthetic, so it should be robust . . . So far so good . . . I'll keep you updated if I encounter any problems . .

I in no way endorse this product, its just the only fluid I can find.

The coulor is clear (with a slight yellow tinge) . . . Doesn't match the OEM red type fluid, but I've flushed in 2 bottles of Bardahl. Basically drained the resevoir, and refilled with a bottle of Bardahl, started the car to mix in the fluid . . . I did this twice

Oh yeah my old power steering fluid was almost black compared to the new clear fluid, there is something bad wrong. my car has been wrecked in the front passenger side.
