2011 Lancer GTS
Warranty coverage is always a pain to get its just not a certain car dealer every car dealer is like that. I hear horror stories from almost every car company about warranty coverage I don't know why, the dealer gets paid from the car manufacturer to fix anything that is covered under warranty anyways.
Btw I have never owned a honda before..

i have a 2010 gts and i love it. i had a 2008 lancer es with 75k miles on it but i traded it in for the gts. i originally went to trade it in for the evo but the price was a little out of my range considering im a student with more bills then i can count. the gts is great the interior is a lot nicer then the es and the stock rims are definitely better. i have some photos of mine up in the photo thread. the car is definitely a neck breaker even though its not an evo. people will turn heads a lot as long as u keep the car clean. i noticed that the gts slips a little more then the es. probably because of the thinner tires and that i push it a little harder. car is great if youre not too worried about speed.
Sounds good, they have 1 white base 2011 gts with no packages at my local dealer the only one in a 100 mile radius and they want 23k out the door which I think is ridiculous..4k more and I can pick up a used 2010 evo gsr with 10k miles.
I have a 2009 Lancer GTS 5 speed. with 50 000kms on it. Besides the paint being paper thin, the car has had 0 problems which is why the summer coming i will buy another mitsu... trade up to a Ralliart or an Evo GSR if the money permits.
On the Canadian site, it says the 2011 GTS runs a 2.0L motor... is that true? If so, weak sauce.
I also run Mobil 1 Synthetic... not the best synthetic out there but better then regular dino oil. Its all about the maintenance and how you take care of it. Simply, if you take care of it, it should take care of you. That mentality has worked for me since i was 16 years old with all my cars

A ralliart or evo would be awesome but I plan on using this car to drive everyday to work/school so the mpg helps a lot and yes I've heard in canada that all the 2011 gts lancers come standard with the 2.0L but in the usa the gts still retain the 2.4L but I couldn't find the reason why mitsubishi did that ??
hums. that is weird. im not sure why canada would have their gts's 2.0's. good thing im over here in jersey. i can actually feel a difference between the .4 from when i had a 2.0 lancer es. if that's the case and the gts's r so expensive in canada. i'd cross the boarder to the nearest mitsu dealer haha

Finally. The bottom line is simple. Any car you buy(ok not any but most) will run for well over 100k miles provided you take care of them. Do some cars have inherent problems that are just flat out broken? Absolutely no question. As far as maintenance goes: He uses Mobil, I use Vavoline(his is also a turbo though). I am willing to bet, 90% of people do not properly maintain his/her automobile which is why they then complain about the car. Me personally I am out of my mind with maintenance which is how I know the Si problems I had were not me. I never beat or race my cars(anymore lol). Don't use garbage Kendall, Wolshead, etc oil. Stick with reputable brands that go into cars from the factory. E.g. Mobil 1, Valvoline, Castrol(As much as people like to laugh about Castrol it is what goes into the BMW 335 stock and what BMW uses for all their cars), etc and whatever you choose should be fine. My g/f just picked up a 2010 GTS with Nav and Sun and Sound for 19k. See if you can get a leftover like she did.
All the females around here drives corolla s lol I've looked at some 2010 models but for the same price as a 2011 I rather get the newer model I like the rear lights better that makes a big difference for me.
Just called around and some dealers will be getting some 2011 gts lancers in a couple of weeks still crossing over from the sea and since the end of 2010 is near hopefully they will drop the price on the 2011 models I'm looking for a sedan not a sportback though for some reason they are cheaper then sedans..

The 2010 gts models I've seen had regular rear lights only the '11 gts, ralliart, and evo's had the black rear lights that I've noticed but from mitsu's site the '10 and '11 is pretty much the same inside and out just different package names but here the prices are pretty much the same even the '10 gts are still around 22k used gts models are around 15k I think I might pick up that evo 10 if the prices don't change.
thats odd. my gts and the others in the lot in jersey that i went to all have black taillights stock. mine didnt come out to 22k either. mine was about 18-19k. what package were u trying to get?... i didnt want nav and i didnt get a sunroof. i didnt deem it necessary.
The only package I wanted was the sport accent package no need for nav or touring package my local dealer had a octane blue they just sold a week ago they must have gotten a pretty penny for it that's why they're asking so much for the only gts manual they have left in stock no worries though I'll just have to go to plan b if I can't find anything.
I can tell you from personal experience that the new Lancer's ARE WAY BETTER THAN THE OLDER LANCER'S.
I USE TO OWN A **2006 MITSUBISHI LANCER ES** and recently traded it in for a better DD car because I'll moving to Houston for school @ UTI this January 3 2011
I just bought my BRAND NEW **2010 Mitsubishi Lancer GTS** and I LOVE IT!
I bought the fully loaded one with Leather,Stock HID's,Built in Rockford Fosgate '10 w/ 4 speaker's and 2 tweeters all by Rockford Fosgate (750 watts),AWD,Front and Rear Sway Bars, etc.
Much better handling,HP and Torque then the 2006 ES.
I must say and option's as well.
