i think it opens up new and more possibilities for our suspension setups. Sure the weights are off but with adjustable heights and spring rates i'm sure there is some way to tune each one to suit our cars.

I don't see much benefit in using evo coilovers when there are coilovers already offered for the lancer. besides having much more variety, and perhaps some nicer control arms, how would this benefit someone who could just get tein ss for their lancer?

because not all coilovers are the same. some are stiffer than others, some have higher spring rates, some handle much better than others... thats like saying, why buy an evo when you can just buy a lancer???

that's a good point. i understand the improved variety aspect of it. I just don't see it justifying the cost and work unless someone is really really serious about tweaking their suspension to the limits further than tein, nex etc.

Tein sells upgrade springs for their kits so really there's no need to upgrade anything to the Evo suspension.
