any updates from mitsubishi???i have a black 03 oz and no major problems but that it swirls really easy ...im using really soft wash mits.... it'd be grate for an update
I drive a 2002 Lancer ES - Black - paint chipping from the hood a lot and spots on the rear driver side door and frame as well as one spot on the roof of the car. I only wash my car with soft cotton and there are many light scratches all over the paint. It is not shiny and clear anymore and I am afraid to wash it these days because the paint keeps coming off and scratching. I brought it into the dealership and they told me I must come back when the Rep is there which will be next week. I have printed this out and hope it will help but what can we do further about this? These cars have cheap paint and I don't want to pay for the manufacturers shoddy work! I have driven 20 year old cars with original paint that looked better than this 1 1/2 year old paint job!
i have a 2002 red es model ... i have chips all around the hood and front bumper of my car . i had a dent in the trunk .. but that was from the dealer when i bought which i didnt notice until later ... bastards!
P.S. i meant to mention the chips do go down to the metal .. i didnt think the warranty covered the paint.

Is there anyone out there that knows what we can do? I don't want to just sit back and let these people get away with not backing their product! (I saw our Regional Rep and he was just as I expected - out for himself and not willing to help!) I want to take action, but I am not educated on such things and I have never had experience. I have contacted the National Automotive Dealers Association by email and am waiting for a reply. Let's do something! Anyone with me?
