SO i take it no one really cares about their paint issues that much .........
well i got mine taken car of.. they claim it can be buffed, but if not it'll be repainted.....

got my car back tonight.. (different thread as to why it's being serviced) they could find nothing wrong with my car.. and oddly enough th prob i had went away. I was too happy about the news that i left without asking if they buffed out the spots..... they did not. =( my fault though....they made another appointment for me the bring it in no problem at all.

i found 2 6" scratches on the hood today.. looks like definate swirl marks but way way deeper. like it was done with sand paper.. i'm personally going for performance right now. so paint and bodykits etc. aren't really my focus.
The reason i got so mad is that all of you guys posted whats wrong with you car and NO one called to take care of it. it almost seems unfair to mitsubishi. after all how can they fix something that they didn't KNOW was a Problem. I blaming you guys for not reporting this stuff to mitsu, because it was soo easy for me to get it taken care of. i have no idea why people would still be complaining. if you got a **** paint job and you don't do anything about it you deserve it! thats all.

 

I complained and called mitsu they said i have to take pictures of all the chips and circle them and sent the pics to them and then they wil see if it needs a closer look at. havent done it yet.. dont have the time but i will soon. better come through or elese ill be pissed

Your point is well taken. I think the people that want something done will go to Mitsubishi and get it fixed. However, I believe the point of this thread was not for everyone to just complain about a problem but rather to guage the size of the problem and to give back up evidence to dealers that said "this is a one-time occurence". So, now everyone has about 100 other people behind them when they go to their respective dealer.

someon understands... we have more than enough people like i stated earlier.. its time to move one from the complaining and time to do something about it. Don't accept utter nonsense like taking pictures and circling...wtf is that about. DO NOT ACCEPT ANYTHIGN BUT A VISIUAL INSPECTION.

P.S. also my buddy tells me if anyone has the damage that is really really bad to go get an estimate from a body shop and show that to mitsu and tell them you will have to pay " $ ________" to get your 2 month old car looking new again. let them know you willing to sue them for that much and they'll get you a visual quicker than you'd imagine just don't be an ******* about it though, cuz it'll get you nowhere.

m3- had the visual check after 8 weeks of very civilized, very legal complaning. their answer: tough ****. It's not as if we're all sitting on our hands *****ing and not trying to get the problem fixed. Mitsu isn't doing anything and that's why the thread was started.

 

MY 2003 Red Oz Rally , Paint Chipping From Both Sideskirts ... front bumper an hood is discolored .... 16,000 miles

 

2002 Yellow OZ rally - paint is peeling on passenger front side below the door. Also, i have faded spots in some areas on my car - for example one is on my spolier.
