Um yeah its to let some of the heat from the engine bay escape. Its always better to keep lower temps in the engine bay lots of cars have this. Now for the roof scoop, what ever floats your boat, what would be the real need of it on a street driven car...you are not rally racing or anything and dont need the intake from above for cooler air into the cabin..but oh yeah you have already mentioned it's just for show, more added useless weight IMO. But if you think it looks good, have fun.

what is the purpose of that roof scoop? Air will run through it and youll feel the fresh air? Just for style? How much you have to spend?

i like the one on the other car. but really how much weight does that add mobius not much. its a FF thing i think its pretty cool kinda dif. obviosly its just for looks people calm down. I would try it but that cost is WWAAAYYY TTTOOOOO much. i could buy that bodykit that was for sale with that or a intake and exhuast. headers somethin bigger that seems more worth 400-500$$$$

True it may not add that much but every little lb counts. Why do you think people invest in, tho it may seem small, newer lighter poly bushings. For example...control arms..ya got four..lets say they are 5.5lbs a peice thats 22lbs all the way around. Now go out and buy some upgraded alloy ones intead of steel at a wieght of 2.75 there is 11 lbs saved right there. Now he may not be thinking that way but I do and it is just something that I myself wouldn't do seeing it is non-functional and all. it is a waste of time and money, but maybe not for him. If he likes it hey it's his car. I just base my opinions off of what I think is good as do most.
