For those of you who really do dig this set up, why not make it functional and a true scoop check this out. It doesnt seem the parts are really that expensive but you will have to get you roof cut. This would be alot better in my opinion. http://www.writerguy.com/primitive/body.htm#hoodscoops

good link!!! That's way cool...for around 200 you can get everything needed to make a functional scoop. Wonder what install would be like on that??

I couldnt Imagine it would be that much..and it would look and hold up alot better than compared to the pop rivets installed in the poster pics. If you look closely you can see where the scoop doesnt come in full contact with the roof in some areas. I would worry about rust and leaking where the pop rivets are. I mean he could seal them with some silicon but that would look very tacky.

just to make a couple things clear, there were places where it didnt lay totally flat, that was unavoidable. to fix that, fiberglass filler was put in those places, then it was sanded down. the whole piece was then fiberglassed smooth and blended towards the edges of the roof. its going to be very strong, and besides the scoop is only about 1.5-2 inches tall. the car is ready for me to pick up now, but i cant get there today. i will have finished pics tomorrow around 10am EST.
