I don't even see how you would do it without removing the crossmember. I searched on here and found nothing, if you want to make a how-to thread, be my guest, I'm sure it would be very much appreciated.

FROM the RRM Corner Article

This will tell you how to remove the Front Motor mount w/o removing the member.

The problem with the RRM article is that it doesn't show or say anything on how to get the two problem bolts off. The pics in the thread I started were helpful for getting the middle bolt off, but the two holding it to the cross member were damn near impossible, especially the rear most one. I ended up using a wrench for that and going a quarter of a turn at a time. Dropping the crossmember is by far the easiest method, and I can't see any reason not to do it.

Just to make sure I'm not crazy I went out to the garage and cracked both of those bolts loose with a 14mm 3/8" drive craftsman socket, about a 6" extension and a chinese 3/8" rubber grip handled socket wrench.

I tried various length sockets, different angles, all that and I couldn't get em. Maybe my socket bits are too thick or something but that rear one just wasn't happening using sockets, the bits wouldn't fit through the hole between the mount and the engine.

Here is my problem with the rear mount. I got all four bolts that hold it down out. I even got the bolt that runs through the motor mount removed. That is where I can't figure it out. Also, I can't seem to get the four bolts back in.

Put those 4 bolts in before you put the center one in. You can jack the motor around to get the center one lined up later.

Does your whole car shake with the A/C on high now? Or was that just mine?

It shakes once in a while, but that is because of the low idle. Once I get the reflash, I will have the idle adjusted and get rid of any shaking.

You will have to get it to idle around 850 or higher for it to be smooth. I like the shimmy in mine.

Always scared the hell out of my passengers. "Is it going to fall apart?"
