Lancer Auto into 5spd
the shop is called Extreme Automotive. they are providing all the parts for me, pretty much why its pricey, and some had to be ordered from the dealer, but the parts all come with a 3 year warranty. i couldve gotten the parts myself, but i dont really have the time to go out and search junk yards. plus, i would get no warranty.
yeh. 3 year warranty makes it worth while for sure. That price is expensive yes. but for all the parts and labor and a warranty!?! Sounds good to me.
You should try to take pics or ask them to take pics of the different steps and whats needed to be done. That would be huge!

Yah doing stuff yourslef definetly helps with cost.
If the transmission drops from the bottom and if they engine doesn't have to come out...you probably could do it in your own garage with some good old jack stands.
Best of luck man...can't wait till you do it...please document it all so we got a list for everyone else who wants to do it and is being discouraged by all the negativism against trannys swaps.
But then again...with the automatic shift kit that A2 is promoting...maybe that autobox may not be so bad after all.

You shouldn't need an upgraded clutch if you know how to drive, don't launch the car at every stop and don't plan on going turbo. People who blow it in 20000 miles can't drive worth ****, hell evo clutches last longer than that.
