Really, unless you have lots of hp and tq, you wouldn't need to build up the auto tranny yet. A shift kit would be nice still. And a manual would be nice, be would be much more expensive to pay for the swap, then to upgrade that with an expensive clutch and flywheel and such.

yea i did the pricing, and improving an auto is just as expensive as a manual...

but yea unless your pushing alot of power no need to completely rebuild, shift kit for sure would be nice

Did you add in the cost of swapping the auto for a manual as well, on top of upgrading a stock manual? Because I think the price of the swap alone is somewhere around 3 grand if you find the parts and have a shop swap it.

i ment if you were to upgrade the internals of the auto, its the same as the internals of a manual..
plus built right auto's are pretty damn good

It's about 3k$ to put a manual in. It would probably be cheaper and easier to buy a used auto box, put it in and then trade the car for a manual.
Upgrading the transmission whether it be manual or auto is going to be expensive assuming you want more than just an upgraded clutch or torque converter. Everything will be custom which costs a lot.
