And Lancer2show was never seen or heard from again..... Some say the transmission got him... lol

Seriously though, how did it turn out? If it's not done yet, how's it coming along? Any problems ran into so far?

ive been MIA for a bit, and my car is still not done yet. its been about a month now and reason being is that they're shorthanded and they have bout 4 cars they're working on. i went and saw it this past weekend and everything looks great. the tranny and shifter bolted on perfect, there was no need to have all pedals redone, just the clutch and i didnt have to remove the heelguard. the only problem they've come across so far is the wire harness for the instrument panel. its different on a manual than an auto, therefore my speedometer, tach, gauge lighting and a couple others things that dont work. so he has to rewire the harness one wire at a time. should be another few days (hopefully) till its done. i got a new digi cam, so whenever i go back to check out the car or whenever i get it back, ill take pics of everything and get a more detailed explanation on what went on and how. wish me luck guyz!!

So you're saying that despite a few setbacks, this will in fact work. Coolness. I bet swapping for a 5spd cluster would eliminate that wiring issue(for those looking to do gauge cluster swaps). Can't wait to see the pics.

the moment that ive/youve been waiting for.........my car is finished, BUT there is yet another problem. i believe he said that something is wrong with the relief valve bearing er something like that. so i have to take it back on tues. so they can put another on or in. good thing is, i get to drive it till then! the ride is great. it rides just as she used to, but with a lil more kick (no more power shifting ) shifting is great as well. the only thing that is the prob is that valve bearing which is causing a constant scrappin-like sound when i let off the clutch. its only bad in 1st and 2nd, then it kinda goes away. being that its dark and i just got off work, i will have to post pics tomorrow. these guys did an awesome job and i feel that the work they did was worth every cent. even with that noise, im as happy as a pig in mud!!! i will also get a detailed report on the pros and cons when i go back tues. MERRY CHRISTMAS GUYZ!!!!

Hey guys im also thinkin about doing a swap, found majority of the part on car-parts.com for about 1000 for all, i would be doing it with my buddies. My cars is paid off so its not worth it for me to just sell it and buy another lancer, like everyone else is suggesting. i hope everything works out with the project, and yes we would like to see pics, you should have taken pics while they where changing the stuff so we could understand better. Thanks!!1
