True. I guess ethics and dealerships don't mix...

Here is my question, is the GTS AWD, or FWD?

DE, ES, and GTS are all FWD (the price is too low to really be an AWD), GTS has a sports tuned suspension and bigger breaks than DE and ES, engine power is the same across the board. The rumored next-gen Ralliart will be an AWD.

I really don't like how its the same power across the board. Should have different power platforms. At least in the GTS instance.

Also, they keep putting off the next AWD LANCER. We need this!

Did someone on Evom.net just make reference to an AWD Lancer? Anywhere else I could understand this, but here? I think there's a name for such a can and though it may be labeled lancer, calling it one is like calling Colin McRae an automobile driver.

he was talking about the actual AWD lancer they are gonna make. They have an AWD Cedia, and from what i've read the next Ralliart may be AWD.
he wasn't refering to the Evo

Yeah, I wanted to know about the GTS, not the Evo itself, that would be horrible on my part, lol. I was curious of the GTS, and I'm upset now that I found out the power is the same ALL across the board, talka bout a big let down, paying $3k more for bigger brakes!!! Then another 1500 for the sun and sound package.... I dunno, maybe I don't see a HUGE bang for my buck, although the CVT sounds like fun

For anyone else who might have misunderstood my post regarding lancer VS EVO, Colin McRae VS Driver:

I was by no means "hating on lancers". How much sense would that make in a thread I created about My lancer? Even more so when you consider that I've made it clear in this thread that I've own 2 others prior. It is FACT though, that the EVO is not an AWD Lancer. Where it counts, it is a completely different car (and I've never seen or heard of an AWD Lancer). That's what I was sarcastically, and jokingly getting at. For the money, the Lancer (as far back as '03 in my opinion) is an awesome car.

Jehuty: You're paying for more than the brakes. AFAIK, you're getting (added or upgraded): brakes, suspension, paddle-shifters, ground effects, 18" wheels, Bluetooth (not standard in the ES). Also, this is totally subjective, but I swear the GTS takes off quicker and I think it may be a result of how the CVS is tuned. Because of the nature of CVS, you can tune/manage it light you would your engine and you can get very different feels as a result.

oh ok, tat was where I was curious, I just did wish that there was more power...but of course, I can't deny the sexiness of the bumper and that lip. What I meant to get at (I had no idea that 4WD and AWD are 2 different things) because that's what I meant, I wanted to know if the GTS was 4WD, but beggars can't be choosers, lol

i'm curious to see how the lancer holds up. that's too bad about the mark up.... i was ready to go trade my oz in to get one, but i wanna wait to see if the rumored AWD ralliart comes out. HOpefully if it does, i'll have a better job by then and be able to afford it. it should be in the 25k or so price range no??????????

Are the paddle shifters really "instantaneous"?
