i play with my auto transmission a lot. but i seem to face a problem where the car doesn't change into gear when i shift from 3rd to 4rth. it takes about a few seconds before it actually changes.any 1 know whats wrong ?

 

Have you disconnected the battery recently? It could be relearning your driving habits.

What do you mean by playing around? Shifting it like manual?

If so, you have torched a teeth off a gear. In the long run, it'll fully seize up and never get into OD.

 

Or it could be the ECU holding 3rd gear thinking thats what you want before upshifting.

Sometimes my car does that in first to second. if I'm on 1/2 to 3/4 throttle in first it will hold that gear for me. If I don't go WOT within a few seconds it will upshift. Which is what I want...

If you play around in 3rd gear alot its going to start holding that gear for you longer and more often instead of a quick upshift to 4th.

 

does anyone make a shift kit for that tranny yet? it sounds like it would be a good investment for you
