Where did the glue come from? Is it something the installer did or the result of something you did? If its the installers fault make him clean it up.

cruz, unless you want to have your windows retinted, I would not us Brad J's advice by cleaning the glue with Lacquer Thinner. Try using an aerosol based cleaner without ammonia. Actually any glass cleaner without ammonia should work. Ammonia will eventually cause the glue to delaminate. Tint is very porous(sp?). Hot water and dish soap would also work. Spray the cleaner on the glue and rub it with your fingers to break up the glue and wipe it off with a soft towel.

So far, I haven't had any problems with my tints (knocks on wood) I got them done from a friend of a friend, and he told me not to roll the windows down for at least 3-4 days, and to not clean them for at least a week. I waited about a week before I rolled them down, and about 10 days before I actually cleaned them. So I'm not exactly sure why others tints are scratching or peeling, but it's possible that maybe you didn't wait long enough, or they were installed wrong?

wd40 has many many uses...one of them being it removes and loosens glue residue

^^ I would think there would be harsher chemicals in window cleaner then wd-40.

Can anyone confirm that wd-40 will eat through tint caus eI will then stop using it

My tint story:
1. took car into detailer
2. detailer told me right off the bat i would need moleskin
3. waited 5 days before rolling one window down
4. glue showed up on the tint
5. moleskin came off
6. took car back in to get it looked at. they fixed it. repeat steps 1-5
7. detailer then found a better way to apply the moleskin and now I haven't had any issues *crossing-fingers*
