As soon as it's tinted. Might as well do everything at once.

Hard to say. SE is kind of a newer trim, so maybe had time to fix it. Maybe not.

I know that just from scanning the first few posts of this thread, I saw both GTS and DE owners.

One of the local dealers here is now actually correcting the tint scratch problem before they even put the cars on the lot.

There is NO weather stripping felt to begin with.

Many Mitsubishi dealers use Tint Protector’s felt moleskin to line their weather seals on the lancers before they sell the car.

No. They said there is a strip or section of the wiper they just remove.

Mitsubishi is redoning the tint on my GTS this week...I told them at the time of purchase to put in the mole skin but they said I didn't have to and that I had 5 year warrenty on the tint. I said ok, you'll see me back here soon enough, and months later they admit to the problem.

I wish my dealer got the memo on this. They still don't noe how to deal with the problem

I got the felt installed....it just slowed down the scratching, didin't completely stop it cause dirt and grime still get caught between the window causing it to scratch

I bought the moleskin kit too when they first came out. Lazy got the best of me though and i never installed it. The other day i went to the dealership for an oil change (lazy getting the best of me again but it's free) and my advisor noticed the new scratches on the tint they previously replaced. He explained they figured out what was causing it and now i'm getting another tint job while they perform thier "fix" to the problem.
