CEL on RRM Headers
I just installed RRM headers and everything seemed to be fine until I start my car the next morning and my CEL comes on. I hook up my computer to my car and it shoots out a code of p0135. I googled it and it says its my bank 1 sensor 1 which is my front o2 sensor located in my headers. I am confused on what I should do. Should I go replace the o2 sensor or what? Any help would be great. The problem is I am not getting a check engine light for my second o2 sensor on my cat. and I do have the CEL eliminator.I put it on the cat and it seems to b working. Its the first o2 sensor that is giving me the problem which is located on the headers.
did you try to unscrew the 02 sensor without unplugging it by chance? When I installed my obx, I was stupid enough to do that and it twisted the wires up and damaged the heater element in the 02 sensor and caused the same cel. I had to replace the 02 sensor.
I have the rrm header and dc catback on my 06 ES, so I had to put the cel eliminator on too. I needed to get the check engine light off for inspection but it came back on after 300 miles.
Rrm told me that the eliminator only works on 90% of cars but they don't know why.

Done and done.
i got one when i bought my header from RRM.. they work for awhile then they dont... it seems if i keep over 3000 rpms for an extended period of time... which of course freeway driving im usually around there... then it will come back on (cel) so idk for me it didnt really work... its annoying but ive learned to deal with it. maybe the cel eleminator will work for someone else though.. idk

You're much better off making a CEL eliminator yourself with spark plug non-foulers. I did that when I had my RRM header ages ago and never once got a CEL. I still have them installed on my rear O2 sensor and to this day have never gotten a CEL for anything cat or O2 related. Come to think of it, I haven't had a CEL in over 3 years that wasn't self induced (Evo ECU swap). Those don't count.
