CEL on RRM Headers
Who here that have the RRM Headers has had there check engine light come on after it is installed, and what can be done to make it go off if it does come on?
Everyone's CEL comes on with a header install cuz it removes the 1st cat and causes both o2 sensors to get the same reading. Except for my magical RPW header which hasn't triggered the CEL, and I've been using it for months now...
There's a CEL fix you can buy from ILP that wires into the 2nd o2 sensor to fix your problem.

pumpdog720, since you mentioned a test pipe, i have a question for you. on RRM website, it says not to drive on freeways and such with a test pipe. Why is this? and if you get one, do you have to trade the stock and the RRM one back and forth depending on the condition?

Well I think it's mostly because of the smog restrictions and stuff like that, so you can get busted if you drive without your cat, but if you live in a place like me in FL, where there are no checks, then you can get away with it.. just don;t take it to the dealership. But you can drive with it on.
