Cigarette Lighter

My lighter is not giving any power, it won't heat up, charge my phone or anything, I just changed the fuse today, but I was unable to get any juice out of the darn thing. Anyone have any suggestions, I would love to hear some.

it's pretty easy, there are two "screws" on either side of some kick panels on the center console under the dash. inside the ashtray compartment (pull it out) there is one screw. inside the center console storage compartment there are two screws and from there you can remove the entire center console.

Interesting that you all had, or are having this issue as well. Perhaps if I run my background story somebody might know what the cause of this is: My father bought a little portable heater that I was using to thaw out my windshield wiper fluid nozzles. I plugged it in, let it run about 5 minutes while I was inside getting ready for work. When i came out, it was dead and the plug felt very hot. I checked the fuse and it looks fine. I'm suspecting that one of the wires in the cigarette lighter got burnt out. Any suggestions on where to get a replacement or if i'm barking up the wrong tree?

well if any wire was actually burnt out you can always just cut the wire and solder on a new piece if thats what you think the problem is

I don't have power when using the cig lighter, but all of my other stuff works when plugged in...and the little light-up ring around the hole doesn't work anymore either. Checked the fuse, it's cool...and I'm assuming the wiring is fine due to everything else working...

I thought LEDs were supposed to last for years?
