No Spark, Car Won't Start
I am not completed sure if the lancers all came with a maf but that could be your culprit. Same thing happened to my buddies dsm. it started than died and wouldn't start back up. engine got flooded, no codes, replaced plugs. we ended up unplugging the maf and it magically started up but idled like crap. after replacing the maf it ran like normal.
well i replaced the cps and now im getting spark. my engine was flooded so i cleared them out and it started right up.

CPS Help....
OK so im not getting any spark. I have read as many posts on here as i can find about the CPS. I am looking for a how to on replacing the sensor. because based on what i found most said check the CPS (Crank position sensor), than the coil packs , and also the ecu.. so im starting with the cheaper one first. The car wont start so i cnat see any of the codes because it hasnt thrown any.. any help will be great....
Just to inform you all the correct abbreviations for the cam and or crank sensor is as follows.
CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR IS==CMP
CRANK POSITION SENSOR IS==CKP
lol im just being a Deek! anyway i had the same issue TODAY. On a customers evo. came in for EGR i road tested and when i went up to talk to a chic at the pumps damn car cut out. tried to start and nothing. scanned it and came up with a CKP code malfunction. installed a new one and no longer has the code, and also now shows CKP rmp but still was not starting. So i check the fuse under the dash and BAM....starts!

You changed the crank sensor? IIRC that is on the trans bellhousing correct? Make sure he adjusted the sensor low enough to sense that flat piece of metal spinning on the torque converter. Even if its just a little off it cannot sense the engine turning and will not send the correct signal. also check your fuses and also check your coil for power.
