I have an 08' and have that annoying buzzing sound. Sounds like a short static buzz thats repeated like a broken record.

Has any body tried dock connector to RCA?I have heard that because of line-level audio signal, sound quality is far superior to the one with headphone out jack.

Plz post the review if any one is using Aux input with Dock connecter for Ipod.

I have the official apple cable that has the dock connector on one end, the red white yellow on the other along with a usb male end. It still has the buzzing sound, and even more so if you have it charging while playing.

Hi,

If you are only getting buzzing sound when charging then you can try ground loop isolator.

Any new wisdom or fixes for the aux noise issue?

I know this is a older threat, But i have been trying to get a concrete fix for this aux noise issue. Talked to the dealer i bought the car from and they tried swapping the radio out of the managers demo "no luck", wrapping the related wires from the aux to the stereo head with tin insulating wrap and grounding it "no luck". So if anyone has found or created a repair, please let me know. I still have under 7500kms on my car and I paid nearly 30 grand here in canada for the GTS with SSS package, so yes i am pissed!! Mitsubishi just doesn't seem to interested in fixing or making there issues right.
So if not for the looks and feel of the car and that it is the econo version of the car i really like then i would have never bought there product or ever buy a Mitsubishi again.

Can you describe where the ground wire goes? My aux input wasn't installed at the factory so I doubt they'll fix it under warranty.

Mine is pretty quiet, no problems with noise/interference unless I try to power the audio device with the cigarette lighter. Sounds to me like a bad cable, connector or botched install.

I'd say you have the same issue we do- the ground wire should solve the ground loop issue for audio devices powered by the cigarette lighter (which is probably a fair proportion of them). My BMW didn't have this issue, and had a specific power port next to the aux input, probably because they wanted to make sure ground loops were taken care of. Sad that Mitsubishi didn't have the same attention to detail.

This problem is due to the quality of the wiring, wire is not shielded, when you activate aux mode without a connected, it works as an antenna, and you hear noice.
when you plug device to the aux noise is less, because all the device inside the shielded, but at high volume you can also hear the noiсe.
You can fix it, but it's hard,
You needs to insulate aux wires from remaining wires and install noise a filter on the wire.
