high rpm
high rpm
hi... recently after a minor service at mitsu everytime my car hits around 5500 - 6000 rpm it sorta vibrates till it shifts up... i THINK it only happens first gear but i cant be sure..
i reallllly dont wanna take it back to them because they SUCK basically.. is there anything i can do myself to fix it??
im not very familiar with anything so if someone can help me with as much detail or decription on what to do it would be great...
it is a 2003 Lancer CG ES Automatic.. no mods or anything
Thanks!

nah its not after extended driving..
just whenever i floor it and it hits high revs
i have noticed that it has become a lot less severe and seems to be goign away?? sounds weird to me but if anythign happens i will blame mitsu - its under warranty and such

It's finally out in Aussie w/ the chassis code of CG. Mitsu skips a letter. CC, CE, now CG. I guessed the next gen will be CJ (goes to JPN spec chassis coding).
It's the tranny adjusting to your driving style. Do you mostly drive conservatively?
Stupid example of mine: If an old lady sells a lancer (auto) to a teen, he drives it like a speed demon. The teen will swear that the tranny shifts rough. It takes awhile before th ecu adjust accordingly to the new driving style.

when i used to have automatic everything used to rattle. one time it was a strut bar, one time it was pedals, one time it was the pin to reset my odometer and one time it was my intake. if you peel out when youre in reverse and go into drive thatll ruin it easily. i would have to say to make sure everything is bolted down and whereever you hear the sound, stick something over it to make it more stable. see if that helps.
im not at all conservative.... i drive it pretty hard and i drove it from new so it should have well adjusted been over 6months old!.. could it really be me shifting from reverse to drive without fully stopping???
