Car Wont START!!! PLease HELP
Okay wel;l this problem has been goign on for a whiel but i thoguht it was a fluke, bout 2-3 weeks ago when i turned my key the car didnt start, but i turned it again and it started. then last week same thing happen but i had to turn it liek 4 times. Then today i go out to my car and it took me a long time! i turned and turned and turned, took it out and turned soime more finaly after liek 10-15 times it started. Then i pulled the car aroudn to my dorm, grab some ish and went to leave for home and the car did that same thing and owuldnt start. i'm liek wtf maybe its cold (cause it is snowing liek mad!!!) Anyway i get to my g/f's house and when i go to leave it woudlnt start yet again, this time after 15 or more turns it turns on but my CEL is on, so i go home turn the car off and then turn it right back on and my rpm's start going crazy and jump up to 5k so i turned it off. I havent turned it back on yet. I have 28,6?? miles on the car. I also have intake, header, downpipe and all. Please help me out, Is it my starter going or do i have a bigger problem and if its the strater how much would it cost to replace?????

I dont think its your starter, did you change ur plugs? (the manual says change them at 30k) But since u have 28k I dont know, I would take it to the dealer because you should still be under warrenty and they cant void it just cuz of the headers, intake, and exhaust. Hope this helps
same **** happen tp me couple weeks back....
my car would not start for no obvious reason
....it takes me awhile to get my car started
*i still have not found out exactly what it is...
but since i got my ground kit i notice the
negative ring terminal for the battery was not screwed
nicely..it was sort of loose...
after i tighten everything it has not given me any problems
since then (knock on wood)...
* might want to try that.....=/

i had a similar problem, i dunno how exactly how it was for u but when i went to turn my car on it was as if da whole car died. no electricity goin thru da car wuts so ever, like i could even use my remote or use da switches to lock and unlock my car. then after i would slam da door hard, but later on realized all i hav to do is pop da hood and jiggle the wire that connects the alarm to da battery then it would set off my alarm then all i would hav to do is disarm and start da car. i took it to da dealership and they told me that whoever installed the alarm didn't tighten the screw tight enough and forgot to scrape off sum paint on the ground wiring causin it to not put out enough voltage. after that it worked smoothly until i got into an accideent then when i got it back from the shop da same thing happened again, it was my 2nd accident so i figured the reason da alarm kept actin up was becuz the guys at da shop didn't reinstall it properly, so all i did was tighten the screw myself and since then it hasn;t messed up yet.....good luck
i meant i couldn't use my remote or lock/unlock swithces....i hav da stock factory alarm...another thing i forgot to mention was that sumtimes when i had this problem my alarm would go off, but it would be faint as if there was low power so my alarm sounded like a frog sayin "ribbit"
if you have no electricity power at all, then check battery terminals, if you can get power, i woudl say swap out the old spark plugs and spark plug wires, and your baby will always start up in -28 degrees

Battery is a definate first, then if you have an auto put it in gear then back to drive and wiggle it a little. If its standard play with the clutch and make sure the sensor (can't start without the clutch in) is in working order (disconnect wires and cross them, then try). Try leaving the door open and if the interior light goes off when you try starting it then its definateley battery or alarm related.
thanks for the responses, i will try a few things either tonight once i start shoveling snow or tommorrow, depends on how cold it is. like tighten the battery and all, then tommorrow i'll go to pepboys and buy some spark plugs and all.
When i do try to start i heard a click of it trying, also everything does power on, stero, lights, etc...

if you are definately hearing a CLICK when you turn your key, then the starter celnoid is getting juice, if the starter id not turning, you could be having one of a few problems,
1) check and make sure you have good contacts from your hot wire to the starter.
2) check the ground wire to the chasis ground to ensure proper connection.
3) you could have excess build up of carbon on the terminal posts inside the starter (should still be a warranteed itme)
4) check not only the output voltage of your battery but the Cold Cranking Amps. if you have replaced your battery recetnly make sure you have the correct CCA rating
good luck
