No, it wont. It will stay at the highest brightness even if the dimmer is turned all the way low.

A single LED will not have variable brightness, because like a diode, or transistor, it's forward biased or not, in other words on or off, there's no variation...once the bias voltage is met, it emits light. Every diode has it's own bias voltage, some are 1.5V, 3V, 5V etc. Also A diode once forward biased, is basically a short, thus requiring a series resistor, in order not to explode
