Handbrake

Hey Guys,

I have this issue with when I park and pull handbrake after in the spot the oil pressure warning flickers and disappears. I am just worried not sure if this is an issue. I drive a 05 lancer es. I had changed oil already 3 weeks ago, so it has oil.

It ONLY happens when you put the handbrake up?
Does it happen when you're parked on a level surface? What about on an incline?

its the oil pressure light thing that looks like pan with liquid coming out, I have parked at area that is most part straight it only happens when I apply the hand brake. It did happen at home too when I park my area is on a downward slope, and when i pull hand brake and it did the same thing oil light is not on but it faintly blinks/flickers and than disappear.

are you sure it doesn't happen when you're driving? It's probably a bum pressure switch...they are like $10 and pretty easy to replace..

I am sure, when I am driving everything is fine, till I park downhill slope, I will try to stop the car completely before I pull hand brake and see if this makes a difference.

you brake abruptly with the hand brake on a slope and that's when it happens?...your oil might just be low...double check the stick on level ground...
