Ok, so since every single week I see a new squeak/rattle/strange noise thread, I'm starting a sticky thread for each. Since most of them are almost impossible to locate, this should consolidate the possibilities and help you guys compare. As for my car, I have all 3 and stopped looking for most of them. It's called a $15k econobox on stiff suspension that gets driven hard. C'est la vie!
Does anyone's passenger side, lock/window control rattle with the stock radio? LOL, I'll live with the econobox! Should have herd my Ford Explorer I was afraid to start it at night... might wake the neighbors.
yeah, something in my door panels rattles, but i dont have stock radio (but i dont listen to it anyways). when it gets really irritating, i give my panel swift elbow and it will typically stop for a while.

By the way, i took it to the stealership and the guy drove it and told me that yeah....it also happens with my lexus IS300. i was like what the ****t....fi it than!!!
Hey if anyone could help me with this it would be great. Over the past few weeks i've had a rattling noise which seems to be coming from behind the gauge cluster. There is no out of the ordinary vibration in the wheel or anywhere else. There isn't any decrease in performance that I am aware of. All I have installed is a RRM cold air intake. The intake was installed two months ago with no problems for a month after. The noise has gotten progressively louder as time has gone on and it is starting to really bother me. I am almost certain the noise is not coming from under the hood cause i've checked repeatedly. Also while i'm at it i've heard different things about maintenance for an 04 oz. The showroom said 15,000 and the guy at the counter of the mitsu shop said 30,000. i bought the car at carmax so i don't have any clear idea what to do. if no one knows it is cool i can go back and find out. Perhaps it is nearing time for maintenance cause i'm at 13,000 plus the car has just gotten slightly noisier anyway. Anyone had any similar experiences or any idea what it could be? Thanks

My 02 lancer es makes a kinda "rrreeEEEE" noise when I make short, sharp turns. Mostly on lefts. Sounds like some metal is rubbing or something. Anyone else?
[edit] I fixed my problems, I needed new brake calibers. [edit]

anyone heard this before it sounds like its coming from driver sider rear like "thrrrump' when i hit a bump or train tracks. i replaced my rear shocks and now the sound is not as loud and has downgradered to a "thrump" anyone got any idea (03 lancer es)
My ES has a rattle in the steering wheel, from keeping my right hand on my girlfriend's leg while turning corners with my left hand. I think I must've just pulled something loose (in the steering wheel I mean, lol). I just have to take it apart and see if I can find how to tighten whatever came loose. Maybe some good old WD40 would quiet it down. It doesn't sound like a screw came out or anything major like that, just plastic hitting plastic with the vibration of the engine.
what about this. i have a rattling like noise that comes from the front. but only when when taking off at very low rpms when the motor modulate the most. anybody get that. could just be panels rattling from the insanely loud exhuast.
